Lovely ambiance in a beautiful restaurant. Food was exceptional and the waiting staff were professional and efficient but also friendly, nothing was too much trouble.

The Barony in Biggar Had a wonderful 2 course lunch with a nice wee glass of chardonnay . Food was excellent (supplied with lovely baskets of bread), and washed down with a nice glass of chardonnay. Service was great too . Thoroughly recommended

After travelling for a celebration of a family members life, I booked this online and the reviews were correct … the food was fantastic and beautifully presented. We all had different meals and thoroughly enjoyed each one. Great service too! We had early evening meal so not many people in for atmosphere but this did not hamper our enjoyment . Booked a table here for the first time and wasn’t disappointed. Main course was beautifully prepared and fish was cooked to perfection as was my partners steak. Only downsides were the chairs were a bit worn out and therefore not very comfortable and the vegetables were a bit overcooked. Apart from that we rated the restaurant as a seven and eight out of ten respectively which means we would both go again! Thank you for the great service and warm welcome. Well done The Barony!

Visiting the area, before booking we checked in advance to make sure there's ease of access for those with mobility problems, and all was fine. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to our table. We found all the staff to be friendly, efficient, and attentive. We chose one special and one meal from the standard menu, and it was excellent quality. At each point the staff checked to ensure the meal was fine. I would happily book again when visiting the area.

We ate here for the first time on Friday June 23rd. We were greeted with a smile from Anna, who then showed us to our requested window table. The menu was just perfect, our food was exceptional. We had full 3 courses, Pate /goats cheese tart, followed by chicken wrapped in parma ham stuffed with haggis, which was absolutely delicious, my other half had the spinach ricotta tortelloni which was equally delicious. We were full as the portions were generous, however we managed to squeeze in desserts of chocolate turkish delight tart mixed berry cheesecake, all washed down with a bottle of Chardonnay.
