"We stumbled upon this charming stone inn today after the winds from Storm Franklin forced all nearby National Trust properties to close. It was a cozy old gas house, sheltered from the cold wind, featuring real fires and excellent coffee for our mid-morning break. We also enjoyed a satisfying lunch. While the menu might be a bit limited compared to some places, we all found our meals to be quite enjoyable. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which prompted us to return later for dessert after our walk. The nearby channel on the right is worth exploring, especially as it leads to the first of the nine locks on the Lapworth Curly Flight."

This was my second visit, and both times have been fantastic. The service is excellent, and the heated outdoor area is really nice. All three courses were amazing and beautifully presented. I will definitely be back soon!

I enjoyed a large cappuccino in the garden. The service was excellent and very friendly. I will definitely be returning for lunch! Don't forget to take the lovely long walks at the back of the pub, alongside the Lapworth flight locks on the Stratford-on-Avon Canal.

Excellent lunch for a big birthday party. Service was great and the food really fantastic all round. 5 stars! Although I have given 5 stars I'd add a warning that for me the vegetarian options really are not up to scratch for me. A single veggie main option is poor. Us evil veggies and vegans are multiplying like an infection! Your kitchen is clearly very competent and should get on board, or risk getting left behind. Lovely lunch though.

This is one of my favourite places to go for every single occasion! You are treated so warmly by ALL staff members and the experience has been nothing less than amazing. It was my first trip back since COVID and I was so impressed to see how well they have followed the regulations and still kept their high standard of service and food regardless of how busy it was! Definitely couldn't recommend it enough!! Never have had a bad experience here at all.

The staff are great, the food was lovely. But, we were seated in an outside marquee, one minute it was warm, the next it was cold. As our meal lasted almost 3hrs, it wasn't great. After being seated, the drinks came quick, followed by our order being taken. A short time later the starters came. Some time later, we started to get our main meal, the first 4 of the 6 meals came out, after a bit of a wait the other 2. Maybe 5 minutes later the side orders, then we had to wait for the veg. If it wasn't for the restaurant temperature and the main course problems, I'd recommend the Boot.
