We went to the braided fig to celebrate my other halfs birthday. From start to finish the service was great. Particulary the young guy serving us. Food was delicious we were stuffed by the end

Arrived a little late but was surprised to see so few diners. Service was friendly and attentive. Had a tasty and well loaded brushetta. The had the lamb with asparagus,peas in a sauce...very nice. Can recommend.

Best restaurant food I've had in a very long time. Exquisitely well balanced flavours in my scallop starter as well as the fish of the day main. Had a great meal on Saturday night with friends. Food was excellent. Young staff were enthusiastic and friendly and thought the overall price was very reasonable for quality of food. Not sure there are many other places quite like the Braided Fig in Aberdeen (mix of bar and restaurant but serving quality food). We will be back

Went for dinner with my family and this was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had at a restaurant in Aberdeen in a while. Food and service was amazing. I ordered the Sunday Roast and it did not disappoint. They even let me order extra skirlie which is my favourite. Even the dessert was amazing. I guess you could say…Figgin’ lickin good !

We were visiting this restaurant based on a referral and we were not disappointed at all! This is a really nice and cute restaurant in the heart of Aberdeen offering a large variety of great, also Scottish, dishes. The staff was very likable and attentive and the setting of the restaurant is very cozy and great for couples but also for groups. We will certainly come back if we have the chance! This was the worst meal I have ever had. The bread served with my soup was rock hard, dry, and impossible to eat. The main course was awful. The turkey was bland and had a strange, spongy texture. The potatoes were burnt and oily. When I complained to the owner and asked for a discount, they ignored me and showed no interest in resolving the issue. I will never go back to this restaurant again.

This was our first visit to The Braided Fig and I wish we had come sooner! We were in search of a delicious Sunday roast and after reading great reviews, we booked a table here. It was amazing. The beef was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection, accompanied by all the traditional trimmings. The Skirlie was outstanding and the roasted potatoes cooked in duck fat were crunchy and flavorful. We also enjoyed a lovely Yorkshire pudding and a pot of delicious gravy on the side. The vegetables, including glazed carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower, completed the meal on a warm plate served by our friendly and knowledgeable server. The food, once it arrived, was hit and miss. The beef, for which we paid a supplement, was reportedly brilliant, while the turkey was said to be lovely and came in a huge portion. However, the vegetarian option of celeriac was not as exciting, with a gungy sauce and lack of accompanying trimmings. The puddings were all enjoyable. Although the staff were friendly, it seemed they lacked proper training. Some were unaware of what they were serving, and the service for distributing coffee and tea was haphazard. As a former waitress, I understand the challenges of serving older, hard of hearing, and large groups with alcohol. However, as a non-drinker in the group, I felt that attention to detai...
