"We got there at 12.30 and after 30 mins we managed to get a drink. We managed to get a bench outside to sit at as I am disabled. My daughter went to queue up for chips and burgers for the children as we thought it would be the quickest and how wrong were we . 45 mins later and only 2 people serving we decided to call it a day. Everything looked dirty, the bouncy castle/train was unusable because it was full of water , moss and leaves. They advertised it and didn’t even clean it, it was disgusting. The so called farm was just a few dirty enclosures with not much grass and a few chicken , and sheep in. We left after not being able to get food for ages and went into Maidstone to get something. Never will we go back there as there was just a lack of staff. 2 cooking food and taking money and 2 people serving in the bar. I was in the trade for 25 years and you always get extra staff when you have some kind of function on."

We called in this pub in what seemed like a quiet village but left quickly when a band started up too loud to eat and not the village setting we were hoping for

Found this pub on a sunny Sunday afternoon walk with our dog. The pub does a great Sunday carvery but advance booking is recommended. It has a lovely beer garden and the staff and owners are friendly and welcoming . We will definitely be returning having spent a lovely afternoon there.

Amazing little find, staff were so friendly and attentive. Stayed for lunch and couldn’t fault the food, was delicious. Quick service and with a smile too! Loved the fact it is so family friendly with the play park, bouncy castle and animals, kids were well occupied and left knackered! Definitely would recommend and can’t wait to come back

Having visited this pub many years ago with fond memories I was excited to take my family to the fun day….what a mistake. “Farm” was a few chickens. The bouncy train had grey water sloshing about in it and if you survived that you had to navigate a swingball to get out. Queue for drink was 20 people so didn’t bother. Stayed 10 minutes and left. Will never visit again.

Came for family ‘fun’ day, not enough benches, animals in over crowded pens, skips and piles of rubbish at the bottom of the garden, soft drinks served from bottles, warm drinks, filthy glasses, got warned against even buying food and was shown a black sausage which was raw in the middle, even the kids complained that the bouncy castle was full of wood chips and water … and no responses defending this please! Totally inexcusable we asked for local recommendation and left

The bouncy castle was filthy, covered in water so none of the kids could use it. The animals, chickens and ducks, were dirty and cramped in a small space with dirty water. There wasn't enough bar staff, resulting in a 30-minute wait for drinks served in dirty glasses and warm coke straight from the bottle. The food looked unappetizing and many people were complaining. There was a severe lack of seating available. Overall, this was not the family-friendly day out that was advertised.

The restaurant did not meet my expectations. The animals on display consisted only of chickens, ducks, and rabbits in small, dirty cages. There was rubbish scattered around the bottom of the garden next to the animals. There was only one person behind the bar, leading to long queues of over 20 minutes for a beer that tasted off when I finally received it. I had to queue up again for a bottled cider. The bar was serving soft drinks from 2-liter bottles purchased from a local shop. The food was overpriced at £6.50 for a hotdog, and there were only a few tables available in the garden for seating. The bouncy castle was dirty with water, moss, and wood chips. I would recommend avoiding this rest...

I attended a family day at this restaurant and was disappointed by the lack of planning. The layout was poorly designed, especially for those sitting in the garden area near the playground. It was difficult to access the BBQ, animals, and live music which were located on the other side of the restaurant and not easily accessible with a pushchair. Managing the children's movements from one area to another was a constant struggle. The bouncy castle was unclean and the playground looked unsafe. The food was extremely overpriced, with a cheeseburger priced at £6.50 and a half-hour wait for a small portion of chips. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized. I will not be returning to this pu...

I am still in absolute shock at how we were treated. My wife and children were told to f off out their pub at least 10 times before being told we would be thrown out if we didn’t leave. We were leaving just not quick enough I suppose. We only questioned the quality of the food which is supposed to be fresh, my children were served smash…that’s not fresh food and a kids meal is £10 each! I was with my 2 year old playing in what you could describe as a play area when I was approached by one of the owners shouting at me from the doorway. I couldn’t say a word before the tirade of abuse rained down from discriminating comments to profanity around my children, absolutely awful and will be reporti...

"I feel a bit bad about writing this, but for the first time ever there 's only 1 star and probably the longest comments I 've left. We arrived around 12:15 on a September Thursday after having a walk hungry, we fancied a pub lunch. Staff were pleasant if a bit rushed the young lady behind the bar was on her own and doing the best she could. Several things were off the menu, but we ordered a Curry of the day (Thai Green on this occasion) and sausage mash with gravy. Difficult things to screw up... After a reasonable wait, two small dishes appeared. The Thai Curry was tiny, containing a few small bits of grilled chicken in a fairly anaemic sauce, with a small amount of plain white rice on the side; the two sausages were quite small and on a small bed of mash surrounded by gravy. Both dishes were stone cold. We sent them back. Frankly, if we hadn 't paid in advance, I 'd have left at that point. A few minutes later they re appeared, along with a small dish of sweet chilli sauce and 3 small prawn crackers, two of which were not properly cooked (still solid in parts, i.e. not cooked hot or long enough). The sausages were now hot, the mash lukewarm and the gravy cloying and still pretty cold. Being fair, the very small sausages were quite tasty, but the mash was under/not seasoned and the gravy had little flavour, no onion or anything even vaguely interesting, and was still cold. The curry was a disgrace. The rice was flaccid and tasteless, the curry had almost no flavour and the chicken was watery, and pretty grim (tasteless too). Tiny portion as well. We left the curry. I did eat the sausage mash as I was really hungry, but in retrospect wished I hadn 't. I almost never leave food anywhere in the world, but I left that curry. I 'm not sure how dishes that bad could be let out of any kitchen. We complained to the waitress (who was doing her best) she asked us not to leave and a minute or two later refunded our main courses with an apology. I felt for her as she was doing her best as front of house when the kitchen was a shocker. Note that we didn 't ask for a refund or even hint, they just provided it. I 've never asked for a refund. It 's sad, as these days rural pubs need to do things right, but this wasn 't just small things; everything they could have done wrong with those two dishes they did wrong. Nothing cooked from fresh, nothing checked before leaving the kitchen, tasteless food, tiny portions, cold."
