"Had only been for lunch, previously. The evening was far busier but manageable. The service was generally good but little hiccups. The wine was brought, in an ice bucket, but just dumped in an inconvenient place, with no means of wiping the dripping bottle. Whenever asked, a waitress would pour the wine but we had to initiate it. To be fair, there seemed to be no one else having wine, it was nearly all beer. However, the food was great. The portions were good and the hot food was hot and well flavoured. The portions were good and the choices were all available. We were not put off by the wine issue. We will definitely be going again and would safely recommend this restaurant."

The pup is lovely and the food excellent as was our table host, only spoilt by a rowdy family in the room to the side who had a party of less than controlled infants.

On arrival we where told that quite a few of the dishes were off the menu which was rather disappointing, they could of notified me to let me know to give me the option of rearranging my wife's birthday meal.

Beautiful place, excited to get in because the outside was so lovely. Wasn’t disappointed, perfect temperature, warm welcome, attentive staff, superb food and service. Great reward system too. Can’t wait to go again!

I take my family, professional visitors always to the Fitzwilliam Arms, great venue, NO LOUND MUSIC, happy to have children (let them know before booking seating great. Lovely pub with friendly and attentive staff. Our server Lynda was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her, even though she was rushed off her feet most of the time! Food was very nice and good portion size. I'd happily recommend this place for lunch or an evening meal. My fish chips was lovely the fish was huge!

Great food in a traditional British pub setting with very helpful staff. Plenty of vegetarian and even vegan options on the menu, as well as very-low alcohol drinks for those who do not wish to imbibe. We had the vegetarian Sunday roast, and a plant-based Moving Mountains burger. Both were very well prepared and tasty! There 's a good select of beer on tap, as well as ciders, and a full bar (with a nice selection of gins). We saw lots of outside seating, and hope to be back when the weather is warmer, although we 'll miss the great fireplaces they had going on this visit.
