"Drove into car park but is small and has no markings so but chaotic parking. Not surprised that we ended up blocked in when we came out and had to go back in and find car owner blocking us in! Pleasant welcome and nice table. Menu choice was good. Didn't have to wait too long for the food. Overall, food was nice but roast beef was too chewy! Felt it should have been excellent for a main course costing £14.95! Belly pork was tender. Menu mentioned nothing about the Sunday lunch deal whereby you get two courses for £16.95 and three courses for £19.95! It was posted up on a small board at the farthest end of the pub.. so not sure why that was! Bread and butter pudding was delicious but sticky toffee pudding was too dry and the edges were crusty not unlike when you microwave something for too long a time! I mentioned the issues with the beef and the pudding to staff and they apologised, though I might have expected the chef or manager to come and see us and maybe even offer some recompense if they were keen for us to return there again! Given there is another pub in the village offering Sunday lunch, I was surprised that the food and service wasn't consistently excellent!"

"We came to the Kings Arms in mid November last year and it was an average event. This time…. Well what a difference this time, new staff new menu new Chief absolutely brilliant. A table for 9, a baby, 2 Toddlers a 11 year old princess! And 5 Adults. Ordering was straightforward. No long waits, food came hot and on hot plates, quantities were very good… but by far the taste of the roast dinners were outstanding, the waiting staff Dom, Josh and the lady (didn’t catch her name sorry) were fantastic could not do enough for a challenging table, passed with flying colours. We will be back. Well done folks. Thank you. Mark. Bath."

"Welcoming, friendly and cosy pub. Food is so far above typical pub fare. We visit to eat as well as drink. But there's no pressure on people wanting just a drink. All welcomed the same. We have never been disappointed by anything we've eaten. There's everything from wonderful pies and steaks with perfect piping hot fresh chips to home smoked fish and meat dishes, fresh fish and shellfish (weather permitting). The soups, sauces and gravies have real depth of flavour and are carefully chosen to complement the dish. And the homemade chocolates take chocolate to a whole new level. Small portions of everything are available for children. If you have any dietary requirements phone a couple of days ahead and let them know and the unfailingly helpful team will do everything they can to help."

"Firstly, if you are visiting for dinner have limited mobility you’re in for a tough time. Not only is it a distance from the car park the terrain isn’t the best, especially in the dark. It could absolutely do with better signage. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, relaxing, informal with friendly staff. The charcuterie plate was pleasant with plenty of pickles capers. A wider selection of meat would make this truly a stand out plate. The kedgeree scotch egg was a little bland very oily. The flavour was there, just really muted. Ribeye was particularly good value, not too fatty but more time could have been spent rendering this further. I didn’t appreciate the inclusion of the basting herbs, these were hidden under the steak easily found their spikey way into my mouth. The apple tart was disappointing rather expensive for the portion. The tart base was painfully brittle the filling a bland slightly sour apple purée. The Malbec wasn’t the best, very underwhelming, lacking colour fruit with very thin legs. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner"

"As a tall man with a hearty appetite, I was eager to try the food. We ordered battered sausages along with regular chips and a kids' meal. The portion sizes were impressive, and I found the battered sausages to be quite tasty, although they were smaller than I’m used to. The kids' meal was also substantial and well-prepared. However, it came with a lollipop instead of the toy mentioned on the menu. Overall, the food was very good—some of the best chips I’ve had. The only downside was the long wait to receive our order. One word of advice: don’t make the mistake I did by sitting in the café at the front, as it isn’t connected to the chippy, and the staff there aren’t fond of it."
