The Packhorse Inn - Speisekarte

We visit at least annually when we at our caravan. The food is truly wonderful. We had calamari and garlic mushrooms as starters and lamb kleftico and steak for main. The atmosphere and staff/family are great. Wish the same place could be replicated in my home town.

The service was excellent, the food was delicious, but the portions were too large for us. If we were to dine here again, we would opt to share a meal. Despite feeling full, we still enjoyed a tasty dessert. It is clear why this pub has received such positive reviews.

The general opinion of all my friends was exceptional, fantastic, best meal ever, fabulous staff. We truly had a lovely evening and will be back again. Attentive, and joined in with the banter and are truly lovely staff. Thank you again for making my party a day to remember

Excellent, friendly service from the whole family. Kerry was our waiter, but it seems the whole family chip in to help out. Kerry was very efficient and helpful. The food was really nice, traditional pub and Greek food. I’d highly recommend a visit to hear about the history of this ancient hostelry.

I absolutely adore this restaurant. The food is delicious and feels like homemade, and the presentation is impeccable. We celebrated my fiancé's birthday here and felt incredibly welcomed. The calamari was the best I've ever had! The owner is friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be returning in the future.

What a lovely place. It reminds me very much of places visited with my parents in my youth. The food was excellent, freshly cooked, very tasty and nicely presented. The meals we had were faultless. I can recommend the moussaka and the prawn masala! The children's meals were also excellent(and plentiful, my partner and I hoovered the delicious chicken nuggets! . This feels like a really nice, familial place. This is an old fashioned family eatery you won't be disappointed.

Upon entering the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by a well-dressed bartender with a smile. We were seated in a beautifully decorated room that felt cozy, spacious, and private. We ordered vegetarian dishes, which were presented beautifully and impressed my Cornish friend who hadn't experienced such excellence in years. The other two meals we ordered were also excellent, and my homemade curry was one of the best I've ever had. This family restaurant has truly hit the mark. We wish them continued success and look forward to returning again soon.

We have been regular diners at The Pack Horse for a number of years and have yet to have been served a meal that was not of the highest quality. So why write a review now you ask? Quite simple last nights meal was just simply superb. For simplicity I will bullet point why: 1 Service from all the staff was absolutely delightful, efficient, professional and with humour 2 As always everything was clean and hygiene of the highest order 3 The fillet steak was absolutely first class most likely one of the best I have ever had 4 My wife had scampi cooked to perfection 5 Great atmosphere There's not much more I can say (apart from you best make a reservation to ensure table availability).

On a weekend away, we were looking for somewhere to eat, and whilst my husband was driving I came across The Packhorse Inn on the internet. As we were so close we stopped in the off chance they had a table. We were in luck. The restaurant was busy and the ambience was lovely without being loud. The staff were friendly, polite and attentive without being intrusive. Nothing was too much trouble. The dressed crab salad was sublime, and the steak and ale pie was tender with just the right amount of ale gravy. The local ice cream was delightfully creamy and the syrup sponge pudding was light and the custard was perfect. With every mouthful you could taste the quality and freshness of the ingredie...
