"Great place, I must admit I favour the outdoor seating as the atmosphere is good but you feel less cramped and overwhelmed, it feels cut off from the city and you could easily believe you were miles away. During busy hours the indoor seating just loses the atmosphere as it's so loud (you pretty much have to shout for the person nexto you to hear you) and cramped. If it's quiet then no complaints it feels warm and cosy, you can enjoy a drink or some food, there's a nice buzz and chatter. On every visit the service has been impeccable, the staff are all polite and attentive without being pushy or in your face. Drinks are well made, plenty of selection without being over the top, you can enjoy such a wide variety, you never just want to have one and with each visit you need to try something new. The food is easy and full of flavour, may not be a place for dinner but for a quick bite or some accompaniments for your drinks it is ideal. Definitely worth it!!"

one of my fav bars in town. the sando on the small menu is unrealistic. the rindfleischburger was also super delicious. the festive dice around was just the ticket. music perfect and so cozy. the bar in the free is perfectly covered for a cocktail after dinner. highly recommended.

that was my first visit here and I look forward to the return. the cocktails were beautiful (and actually had a kick, in contrast to so many places that calculate £10 for fruit juice with a celerator on the top). I had the cattle brisket back and it was fantastic. the chicken wings were also great. the menu is small, but I sometimes think this is better because the quality seems better and that was certainly the case on the blackbird. highly recommended. before we were gone, we had another cocktail in the heated beer garden, which I liked to return in the summer months, it was a nice one.
