"Fantastic service, as usual, lovely friendly staff. I miss some of the old favourites from the menu, eg calamari, fish and chips, triple cooked chips, but understand why the menu has been altered. We will be back, one of our favourite locations for lunch."

Excellent that the white oak has weathered the virus storm. A great meal. Food was cooked exactly as I wanted. Service attentive. Wine stunning. Eating outside was one thing new, but the staff handled everything well. Excellent.

"I have to say I was very surprised how bad my experience was with the Spice Merchant was. It started very badly with the food taking two hours to be delivered. This was after several calls over that period where we were told that the food was on its way and should be with us in five minutes. That was a bad start but the food was just as bad. The only saving grace were the starters of chicken lamb lollipops which were tasty. The main courses were all very disappointing, lacking spice and flavour. They were also swimming in oil. The breads were also flavourless. I don’t like to give reviews like this but in this case it is well deserved especially as it was extremely expensive. £150 for five people. For that kind of money it should have been allot better. Worst curry I have had I recent memory! Service: Delivery Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40"

The staff were friendly and very attentive, and the food was delicious, particularly the starters. A big thank you to everyone at the Mediterranean for ensuring that we had a fantastic Christmas Day! "Such a shame as the Food was outstanding, however we were not made to feel very welcome, the staff were quite awkward. One of us ordered a main which didn't come with any side, this should have been mentioned when placing the order and a side should have been offered, when our food arrived and this was queried and we were told that it doesn't come with a side At just gone on a Saturday night, the fire exit door was locked open, our table was in direct line with the door and we had a cold draught (it's February). This meant that we did not stay for coffee and we asked for the bill. We did mention this to the staff when we left and was told that it was opened as it gets smoky from the fire, however the fire was not even lit. For this caliber of restaurant and food, we would have expected much better service especially as this was charged at If the service would have been more friendly and accommodating then we would have had an evening to remember for the right reasons."

"a first visit to Sunday dinner with 2 years and 3 adults. the meal of the child was ordered first, but unfortunately not the kitchen reached due to a printer problem. the personal was most apologetic and quickly fixed it. I could not blame that my roast lamb and the others were also very impressed with their meal. very good, polite and efficient service, and a free drink at the end of the meal to be used for the late meal of the child. would recommend it on Sunday."

"It was a fantastic experience for our team. Amazing 3 course meal with lip smacking and authentic Indian taste. Extremely friendly staff and top notch service. Landlord Mr. Nandu is a gem of a person and ensured all of us had an awesome time at the restaurant. Outdoor seating area was just perfect for the weather and Ample car parking space was a huge relief. I am coming back again soon.
