"Lovely meal at Casa Zilli, really personal in their service and helped make our family birthday meal feel really special! Food was fantastic and they really couldn’t do more for us! Parking: Parking available, make sure you know where the correct entrance is as travelling in the dark can make it hard to find. Kid-friendliness: It’s an adult venue, however they do have a kids menu and were more than accommodating. Probably not the right venue for little children."

"What an absolute gem of a place. Small but beautiful. Think bone China and fairy lights with amazing cakes! We had ham salad sandwich and scrambled eggs on toast which were lovely. Followed by chocolate cake, which was the best I've ever tasted. I made a point of telling them this and was informed that everything is made in house, which is even more impressive. Hot chocolate was delicious also. Their afternoon tea looked amazing. We will definitely be going back. The guy at front of house is so fabulously friendly and welcoming. All in all a lovely lovely lunch."

"Paul K 2 days ago in Povey Cross 0 I’ve just seen the write-up about 51 degrees North. May I also sing the praises of The Joshua Tree in Earlswood. I have to admit I wasn't expecting much but they had a Saturday night slot available at short notice and we fancied a night out. I was EXTREMELY surprised. I had prawns to start, which I cannot fault. I chose the venison for main. I should mention that I lived on venison for many years when I lived in Zimbabwe but I don't think I've tasted anything to equal that which I had this last Saturday (in Earlswood, not Zimbabwe! . The cheesecake I had for sweet was as good as I've had for some time. The staff was very pleasant and not over the top as some can be. The price was commensurate with the quality and I thought, reasonable. I would certainly go again, and would not hesitate to recommend it to you lot!"

"I went there with my family. I have eaten Kerala food at different places. The atmosphere and food taste seemed okay. It was also served quickly. However, I had mentioned to the waiter that my elder daughter is allergic to milk/dairy, eggs and nuts. I asked at least 3 times that the items ordered for her, namely (kerala style) fish curry and (kerala style) chicken curry did not have any of these ingredients. I and my daughter have eaten these above dishes in other kerala restuarants near Croydon, Sutton etc. and know that these dishes generally do not have any of these above allergens. However, despite this I asked the waiter and he assured me that there is no such ingredient. Within about 10 minutes after my daughter had plain rice along with these curries and leaving the restaurant my daughter vomitted twice and also felt very sick and like going to toilet repeatedly. We administered anti-allegen medicines and rushed home. In fact, during the meal my partner had commented that the gravy was unusually thick and I mentioned that might be merely due to addition of coconut milk (which my daughter is not allergic to). But now, after my daughter's reaction, I suspect that some cream (or some other dairy based) or crushed cashewnut was part of the ingredients. The other possibility was that some utensils were used which had been used previously for the allergen ingredients (possible contamination) This shows some degree of callousness on the part of the staff and lack of sensitivity towards allergens. The staff are not well-trained. The restuarant food taste was good for me. The service was also prompt and the staff were friendly, allthough the food was pricier than some of the other Kerala restuarants in Croydon or Sutton. Will I visit this place again with my family or friends? The answer is a firm NO."

"What a lovely family atmosphere. Loved the duck pond and play area for the kids. Wasn’t that impressed with some children chasing the ducks. Do wish they had duck food available to purchase. Better option than them feeding on dropped food. The food was great, service was very good, friendly and happy to please. Very accommodating. Not impressed with the roast potatoes but otherwise everything else was very good. Had an awesome time with family. Price per person: £30–40 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
