"I first tried Bombay Stop a few years ago and found it to be a pleasant little takeaway. However, after ordering from them tonight for the first time in a while, I was extremely disappointed. While the food arrived hot and on time, it was severely lacking in spices and flavor, making it a far cry from a typical Indian meal. I have dined at many Indian restaurants in Eastbourne, some of which were excellent and some not so great. However, this experience compelled me to write my first ever review on Tripadvisor. The vindaloo I ordered was disappointingly mild, with a color and taste more reminiscent of a korma. The Bombay potatoes were equally bland, blending in with the main curry dish. The lack of fresh spices and tangy tomato flavor was noticeable, resulting in a bland, unappetizing brown goo. It seemed as though the dishes were cooked in the same sauce, with no distinct flavors or textures. A vindaloo should be spicy and flavorful, not resembling a basic curry with added chili powder. It appears that Bombay Stop missed the mark on this occasion."

I have used Bombay Stop quite a few times and the food has always been good,had to wait a few times for delivery but on the whole okay.

Got a take away from here. Was disappointed. Had a lamb rogan josh but it was not like any I had before. Was too salty and did not look like a normal one.

Expensive, oily, tasteless. I have had Madras curry enough times to know how it's supposed to taste, and this was terrible. I recommend trying a different restaurant instead of giving your money to these people.

Went to Bombay stop first time in ages wow what a waste of money a bit on the pricey side but that I don't mind if food is good unfortunately for us the food was rubbish rice dry,curry tastles chips looked like they were bottom...of the bag.in all wouldn't use again ****

Great Takeaway. The staff are friendly and they do a delivery service great for a Friday night when you can't be bothered to go out. Great deals to be had £19.99 for 2 currys ,rice, bombay potatoes, popadoms, naan bread etc so much we never...finish it as I said it's a great deal. Speisekarte ansehen

Being using Bombay Stop since it started, always been satisfied, hot food delivered on time, but the last two times I have ordered, the food has been terrible, though dry chicken!! Just wondered if this takeaway has changed as it’s not the same as it...was. Advice would be to avoid so you won’t be disappointed.

I have used this takeaway for Indian food for many years and it has always been excellent value. The double portion is enough for 3 and is exclusive of rice. Delivery with 45 minutes usually. Drivers always friendly. Busy at weekends so need to order...before 7.30pm otherwise could be waiting over an hour which is a sign of its popularity. No complaints with this takeaway. One of the best I've used in the Eastbourne area.
