Granary Beefeater - Speisekarte

Great experience today lunch time. Mel (new waitress) was friendly and exceeded our expectations. Nice steak (medium rare always the best), drinks and sticky toffee pudding as usual

We had a meal at the Granary on 27/12/22 and overall the food was very good and the service excellent. Only criticism was the mini sundae I ordered for dessert was meant to have a warm brownie included but the brownie was cold. Good value for money and I would recommend.

We went to a show at a theatre in Peterborough. Stopped here on the way home. Not impressed. Toilets were in disarray. I ordered a salad and triple cooked chips Salad in a small bowl and probably 8-9 chips. My friend's fries tasted and looked as if they had been reheated. Almost £7 for my small amount. I won't be visiting a Beefeater again.

Myself and my husband thought we'd go for a nice drink on a Friday afternoon. Decided to sit outside and have some food. It took ages to come and wasn't very hot when it did. The tables outside could do with replacing. Would also recommend they hold the umbrellas down with something, as one flew out of the table after a gush of wind and hit a man on the head! Surprised he didn't complain. Won't rush back!

Visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. I gave the steak sampler (succulent 4oz sirloin, tender 4oz fillet and flavoursome 4oz rump steak served with peppercorn sauce, grilled flat mushroom, roasted tomato, onion rings and triple-cooked chips) priced at 22,99 GBP and requested at medium-rare a try. Steaks were mostly at the requested cooking stage (medium-rare) and super delicious. The staff were very friendly.

It had been a number of years since our last visit. We received a warm welcome upon arrival.. I asked for a quieter area if possible sure enough, that's what we got. Drinks order taken as we were ready food the same. We asked for a couple of alterations to my wife's meal it was no problem. The food was very good, hot hot plates too.. we were asked a couple of times if the food drinks were ok. Couldn't manage desserts (to full). All the staff were so nice. Definitely going again. Happy Bunnies.

Dinner was booked for two at 6.00pm. A service dog was with her wheel chair user owner and we were made to feel very comfortable and were placed very conveniently, but they were considerably understaffed I imagine, as the wait for table service, especially for the bill at the end, was awful. The food was OK, but the speciality Cob Salad was an ordinary leaf salad with a few sweet corn kernels and (very few) small pieces of red pepper, at a cost of £9.99, salmon, chicken or steak extra. As usual these days at any restaurant, we were greeted with a list of menu items that were unavailable but that was not a great start to our meal

Food was lovely, but service sucked. We arrived to find the front desk empty. We waited a good five minutes for someone to arrive. No apology, just have you booked? The place was half empty so it really wouldn 't matter if we hadn 't reserved a table. The staff looked miserable and the atmosphere was flat. We waited a long time to be served and even longer for the food. The reason we visited was for the vegan options and the special offer menu. The waitress didn 't even mention the special menu so we had to ask without it we would have paid a lot more! Anyway, we did enjoy the food and would return to try some other options. I just hope for better service next time.

Well I read the reviews and hoped for the best as it was only a short walk away. Sadly it was extremely disappointing in nearly every aspect. It has to be said that the waitress tried her level best but was simply overwhelmed by too many tasks and not enough staff (Friday). The starters were OK, a bit average. They arrived in a decent time after ordering. However, the main course steak meals, which were not worth the money, took far too long to turn up. My rib eye steak was thin, overcooked and very over priced. The chips,mushroom and tomato just off cold!! The genuinely thoughtful waitress arranged for more hot chips.
