We visit this restaurant frequently, and it never disappoints. They usually offer several options on the menu, but the standout dish is definitely the vegan fish and chips. The staff is wonderful, and the pub has a great atmosphere. I can't recommend it highly enough!

We had been having a tough time finding good vegan options in Norfolk until we discovered The Hero, which is conveniently located near our accommodation. We enjoyed a delightful Sunday lunch featuring a mushroom and leek wellington with all the traditional sides. It even included a delicious vegan cauliflower cheese!

Enjoyed the Sunday roast which was plentiful, tasty and good value. Service was excellent and friendly too with attentive staff. The pub had a cosey and relaxing vibe and although very busy it never became intrusive. Would highly recommend and would happily return. The staff are great here. Very welcoming and friendly. Really enjoyed the.food and the overnight stay. We will definitely go out of our way to stay here again next tome we come to Norfolk!!! The Hero is a fantastic pub that caters wonderfully to vegans. Their vegan fish and chips are incredible, made with banana blossom, and they even offer it at a lower price than the regular version. Depending on the menu—whether it's lunch, dinner, or Sunday—they typically have a vegan burger, risotto, roast, and a couple of sandwiches as well. In addition to the vegan offerings, it's a cozy pub with very friendly staff, situated in a charming little village.
