Great lunch at the Herringbone. Family birthday and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely be back one day.

Had a lovely lunch here today. Food was delicious and staff very helpful and friendly. Opted for East Lothian Seafood Chowder, Aubergine and Greenbean Curry and Flat Iron Steak. Would recommend.

Ate in The Herringbone yesterday and the food was amazing had the steak frites probably the best I’ve tasted in a long time. Cocktails were none too shabby either. Add to that great service definitely be back.

great food and service tonight. excellent value and a varied selection of starters and snacks. the smoked cauliflower salad was delicious and the flat iron steak was perfectly cooked. large selection of weeping to appropriate trips as well. we came when the live music was...in the last time, but a nice atmosphere was very welcoming. only here for a short break, but would recommend thoroughly.

just a note to thank the super friendly staff for their helpfulness and service during a late lunch on Thursday this week. our compliments to the chef on the food, we had the daily burger speciality of huh, which was delicious and also the standard...Käseburger followed by a rosin and ice dessert washed by a beautiful bottle verdechio white wine. also this beautiful restaurant is dog friendly. will recommend and will go back when the next in the opposite.

We recently had a family gathering guests) at the Herringbone and we couldn't fault a single aspect of it. Prior to arrival, Nikki and Rosi were hugely helpful and ensured everything was organised for us. The staff on the day were exceptional and nothing...was a bother. Everything was ready for us on arrival and the service was excellent everyone commented on how relaxed but efficient the staff were. The food was superb, thoroughly enjoyed by all. Thank you for facilitating an excellent celebration Much enjoyed by everyone.

Went with the family for lunch as we had been a few years ago and it was good then. Food was pretty poor the Beef Carpaccio was one tiny sliver of beef and a few wilted leaves of rocket. My sons East Lothian Seafood...chowder had pieces of salmon in it and was pretty bland. The other meals were nothing better than OK. Nobody appeared to clear the plates (so I could mention the disappointing meals) and to offer coffee or dessert so I went to the bar to pay and we went to Costa for our coffee. Luckily North Berwick is a lovely place for a visit with many great places to eat so pick another it you are visiting for lunch.

My husband and I decided to go out for lunch on the last day of our holidays. It was very busy so glad we had booked a table. The Herringbone is our restaurant of choice in NB. We chose from the Xmas menu (although they...may have just forgotten to remove this from the table) but were happy to allow us to choose from it. I have been at the nb for many years and I give herribone always a chance, but every time I do myself and others I am always abandoned feeling disappointed. okay, so yes, the gastfriendship has taken a blow during the pandemic (I myself have just left the industry after years) so that I have personal experience that everything should not be as it should be. in my experience with herringbone it is always the basis that give it up. on our last trip, for the amount the restaurant fee the eating was average and the service was similar. it is more like a nightclub than a bar/restaurant. our plates were slowly clear after each cure, and after the net we were abandoned. no offer for gloomy and the...
