"Visited here on a Saturday night, positives first plenty of staff and warm welcome. Set menu was £30pp which is rather expensive for what you get. Ordered the king prawn starter, duck for main and choc orange fudge cake for dessert. Unfortunately the prawns hadn't been cleaned and its fine if it's the old one thats been missed by mistake, but not all four. It seemed that this dish wasn't prepared properly. I informed the lovely waitress and she was v apologetic. The main duck with one piece of pak choi came with the standard small side order of vegetables come on chef, cauliflower cheese and New potatoes served with a Chinese dish? The dessert was nice. Some tables were very squashed together and I was very surprised and I think the other customers too, to be told wine wasn't served by the glass. Had to wave at the waiting staff twice to ask for drinks too. Over the years I've dined here a few times but I think it's stuck in a time warp and not in a good way. So unfortunately I won't be returning due to the lack of attention to detail."

Thank you for a very nice evening indeed. The staff were very attentive and the service was prompt. Both of our main courses were lovely especially the chicken. The meal was completed with a great choice of desserts. Very enjoyable.

Just had a family Christmas meal here today. What a disappointment for £80 per person. We were firstly so squeezed in so tightly that meals/plates that were extremely hot had to be passed down the table because of the lack of room for waiters to...

Started with soup which was very nice, then the meat and potato pie. The pie wasn’t as good as on our last visit and would have been better served with peas than mixed veg. Puddings were nice though. Service was fine but no one about when we wanted our bill.
