"First of all, the place was crawling with insects. We sat indoors! We entered late on a Sunday evening because of some of the nice recommendations on TripAdvisor. We were horribly disappointed! We ordered a 3-course offer. For starters an artichoke salad. The artichokes being the least represented vegetable on the plate, and even worse was that they were greyish in color and seemed fowl - nevertheless, they tasted fine. So we proceeded to the main course. Lamb with potatoes and vegetables. Let's begin with the potatoes... or to be precise the lack of potatoes. The plate held only two potatoes smaller than golf balls. The carrots were overcooked. The beans even worse so - they had turned dark and mushy. Last but not least, the lamb...The lamb made us cancel the desserts!!Half the piece was fat - it was the worst piece of lamb we'd ever had! And after tasting it - leaving more than half the plate - we cancelled desserts and asked for the check. And even so they charged us 63€ (incl. the three pints of beer we'd gulped after descending the Eiffel Tower - the beer was fine, 9€ each though!). He even tried to excuse the price with the nice location near the Eiffel tower in the centre of Paris... We ended up paying 50€. (For two starters and three pints of beer that is!). They must have charged for the flies as well...We are never coming back and we'll be hesitant about ordering Czech food in Paris again."

The location is good and the place is very traditional, Lunch was nice but not special just about what you would expect really. No reason not to go but not worth a special journey

Tout petit restaurant sympa. Personnel fort sympathique.

We had just arrived and were jet lagged and waiting to get into our room and needed lunch and saw this little spot. We could see Eastern European influences but weren't sure just what (apparently it's Romanian) but ordered typical French fare, starting with a nice asparagus soup. I had roast lamb and my wife had fish. Both were very simple but nicely done with good veggies. In a pinch it was just fine, and the owners tried to please.

This is not a fastfood or steak&frites place. These artisans of Romenian and eastern European dishes are traditionally good. Going to Paris without tasting such marvellous cuisine is a sin. I have been there 4 times in the past 15yrs while in Paris and quality/taste are always guaranteed. Their mamaliga and mititei come from heaven. If you do not know what or how to order, do not miss this place: set a budget and say what you like to Florin or his father! They will make you happy and feed you generously, as in any family and traditional real restaurant. Avoid Parisian tourist chaser bistros that offer garbage of bad quality.

The food and service place Restaurant Doina at the top of my all time favorite places to dine. My family and I are visiting Paris (June 2017). We happened upon Restaurant Diona after visiting the Eiffel Tower. We wandered in around 10:50pm on a Sunday evening. The owner welcomed us to come in, and quickly brought us a carafe of cool water. I had the lamb, my wife had the rib eye steak, and my daughter had the sea bass. We all loved our meals. In fact we couldn't stop comparing any other restaurant we went to the following days to Restaurant Diona. None of them could match the warmth, quality and taste of the food, and the hospitality we found at Restaurant Diona. It wasn't until we were almo...
