Tamarind Thai Cafe - Speisekarte

We have just had the most fabulous thai meal in a really cute cafe here in Rickmansworth. Delicious food and very attentive staff. Definitely a hidden gem and worth a visit

Do not come! This is not a Thai restaurant. Pad Thai chicken is not even chewable. Starters terrible. Don’t waste your money. Don’t be fooled by the name, the previous management much better. YOU Have been warned!

Wow. Stumbled across this place whilst in the area for a wedding. Food was excellent. Would recommend Spicy beef noodles and the Panang curry. Not the biggest of restaurants but great service and a great price. If we are ever in the area again we will be back.

This is fantastic food, 8 of us went yesterday nit the normal lady that usually greets us ran out of prawn crackers and we have to pay over £100 in cash no card payments allowed at lunch time .. luckily a cash machine close by.. but the moral however food is excellent

Great food as ever. I first visited 20 years ago and still amazing. Nice servers but not on the ball. Left waiting for ages for requests as seemed to be congregating at till. 10% service charge automatically added to the bill when it says on menu only added for parties of 6 and we were 4. Bit miffed because I didn’t think the service was 10%.

Thought we would give our local Indian a miss and try here! Big big error. Freezing cold room. Mixed starters were Luke warm at best , had to send back to heat up. But made no difference, quality was very poor and tasteless. Pad Thai smothered in some kind of chilli paste , not great. Green chicken curry like dish water, not good. Judging by the reviews we are clearly in a minority. Will not be going back unfortunately.

We have been coming to Tamarind for years and always enjoyed the food which remains good and this is why we are still giving it 5 stars. However, the lady who ran the place for years has now left and the life and soul has left with her. We do not know the background to her leaving but the owner would do well to get her back. She was always warm and welcoming and it is not the same now she has gone. We will be visiting less as a result and will probably just have the occasional takeaway.

I usually collect my takeaway from here and the staff, Don and Alazne are so so friendly and helpful. Food is fab and the atmosphere in the restaurant is great. Last time I collected there was a birthday for someone and we were all singing to the person whose birthday it was, just such a lovely friendly atmosphere! Never disappointed with the food, apart from they forgot to put my prawn crackers in that I paid for so I'm hoping to get some free next time I order ; Def recommend this place!

I went to this cafe for the first time today was rather surprised at their attitude. The food was well prepared the service was efficient polite there were plenty of other customers eating but when I asked for a coffee I was told that there was no milk. As this establishment is a cafe customers will expect milk with their teas coffees this shows that management do not put themselves out for their paying customers so I won't be returning on a regular basis. They took their 10% anyway. I regularly eat out when other cafes run out of milk they go to the shops buy more which makes the paying customer valued but obviously this is not so with this cafe.
