"My wife and I booked a table at the Cinnamon Tree on Tuesday for the Sunday early evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I checked their web site first before booking as the actual date was on the Monday. Finding out that they did not...open on Mondays we opted for the Sunday. I telephoned the restaurant and made the booking. the person on the other end of the telephone repeated my details and time date ect. We turned up at the restaurant to fined it was closed with a sign on the door stating that they did not open on Sundays and Mondays. We got back in the car and went to turn around at the back of the restaurant and I saw a door at the back of the restaurant open. I stopped the car and went to the door and found someone in the kitchen. I told them that I had booked a table for that night and he confirmed what we had found out with the notes on the door. He then telephoned the owners of the restaurant and he put me on the telephone and I spoke to the owners partner and she said they have not been open for several weeks owing to staff shortages. I asked the lady why the booking had been taken as the staff must be aware of when the restaurant is closed or open and I had gone by their web site. She replied we haven't bothered to up date our web site and will not be doing so and have not bothered to blank out Sundays on the book were the reservations are written in and just blamed the person that took the booking in the first place. Her attitude was I couldn't care less. At this point I was boiling as I have used the Cinnamon Tree for many years and have always had a good meal there. But after this episode they can go to hell I will never go there again."

"Absolutely fantastic. It's only small but the atmosphere is lovely, the owner is very attentive and food was amazing.Was a bit nervous taking our two year old but food was available and again the owner was brilliant with him. The owner/chef was there alone tonight and apologised for the wait on food (20mins between starter and main) that's less than you'd wait in a big chain restaurant. 100% would return and definitely will be recommending it to family and friends."

"The pasta dish I had with shin beef was totally tasteless lacked salt pepper herbs garlic my partner had pizza that looked cooked but was not crispy on the bottom had to eat it with a knife fork as if it was picked up as it is meant to be eaten you would have been wearing in don't bother save your money go to the worst chippy you can find we were in 30mins in that time we got served drinks ordered served food eaten paid left this is fast food on an expensive level"

"Yesterday my fourth time was to visit dotty’s, only ever went before for milkshake or hot chocolate, this time we had afternoon tea for a baby shower. there was a lot of us to worry about and the staff could not do enough for us to throw the tee, the milk and the coffee when we asked. the food was plentiful, had to take a few home, as I wasn't all of me finished, and they were happy to offer a tablet to take the dinge home, that was delicious and the price was very reasonable. they allowed us to decorate the tables and play games. I love the decor and the cute teetassen. would definitely recommend and will definitely go on."

"I have visited this pub on multiple occasions over the years, both as a student and as a non-student. As soon as you enter, it exudes the atmosphere of a traditional British pub with a variety of ales available. The staff is friendly, and the owner is a pleasant individual who always took the time to chat with customers. There was also a friendly dog who enjoyed being petted. The pub has a nice beer garden, although be cautious of the steep stairs leading up to it - holding onto the handrails is recommended, especially after a few drinks. Additionally, there is a games room where patrons can enjoy pool and darts. Although I have not personally tried the food, it always smelled delicious. I am aware that the pub offered discounts on certain alcoholic beverages for students on specific nights. Overall, this is a charming and welcoming pub that I would recommend visiting."
