Three adults and a baby for a truly excellent meal. Wonderful roast dinner with loads of veggies. Excellent service in lovely surroundings.

Here for a family birthday celebration and the restaurant didn't let us down. We ate the excellent Sunday Roast Dinner selections and weeks later we still talk about how tasty they were.

Had a fantastic dinner, the food was amazing (especially the porkchop), the drink selection was fantastic and our server Dillon was a pleasure; he knew the menu very well and was lovely. Will definitely come back!

A very friendly and caring waiting staff. The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portion sizes. Fabulous ales and beers we were staying locally so tried a different one each night. We enjoyed the first evening here we didn’t bother going anywhere else for the rest of our holiday!

Thank you to Vincent and his team for a lovely meal despite a power outage! The food was delicious and the service excellent. We know it must have been a stressful evening for all the staff but they carried on with good humour and it didn’t in anyway stop us having a very enjoyable evening

Had an amazing Sunday roast! Actual crispy potatoes which is rare for a mass produced roast. Beef was tasty and seasoned nicely. The gravy, was special. I don’t know if marmite or bovril went into it but it had so much flavour. My husband enjoyed his oysters as well. Our dog was spoilt with loads of treats and he must have been one of 5/6 dogs in the dining room that day.

My family and I have just enjoyed Sunday Lunch at this beautiful well used pub set in a lovely Cotswold village. The food was excellent and very enjoyable We encountered a couple of incidents but the management and the staff attended to them immediately without any fuss We couldn’t have asked for more We highly recommend this establishment and we will be back again to enjoy their hospitality

Took my son for a lovely little birthday lunch. I kept things light with delicious French saucisson and gherkins followed by a prawn cocktail. Son enjoyed calves liver and mash with crispy prosciutto (we forgot to order greens for him, would have been good to have been reminded) and then a gigantic strawberry pavlova which looked amazing. All delicious. Last time I came here was for nibbles and a drink (scotch eggs, padron peppers type thing) which I also highly recommend.

My daughter booked this pub as she was staying in the area and we travelled from Hampshire and our journey was certainly worth it. We shared between the 3 of us a grilled calamari starter and a cheese souffle. All extremely good, with lots of flavour. We all chose the roast chicken dinner and it was a struggle to finish it as the portions were very generous, excellent roast potatoes and accompanying vegetables (see photos). The corn fed chicken was perfect. No room for desserts unfortunately. Served by Tony, very friendly and engaging and we thought the bill was reasonable for such good quality food.
