"I am extremely disappointed with the way we were treated at the restaurant. I had made a reservation online for 4 people for dinner at 7.30pm on Christmas Eve. Due to being on holiday abroad, I did not check my junk mail until 22 December, where I found a message stating that the kitchen would be closing at 6pm on Christmas Eve and asking us to change our booking to 5.45pm. After confirming the change over the phone, my guests and I arrived promptly at 5.45pm, only to be told that the kitchen had closed at 5pm. Despite their apologies, we were fortunate to find a table at the King's Arms across the road. I am feeling both angry and disgusted by this experience. I tried contacting the manager today, but was informed that they would not be available until 12.00. I requested a callback, but have not received one. As regular customers from Cookham, unless we receive more than just an apology, we will not be returning to the Crown again."

I booked 3 rooms for Friday 17th November and they were modern and spacious. Nice welcome from the staff. Breakfast the next morning was brilliant. Local sausages, bacon. Full English was great. We're going to book for next June as we enjoyed our stay so much

We had an amazing time at the quiz night. The event was very well arranged and the food we ordered in advance was excellent, as always. The service was outstanding and we were well taken care of throughout the evening. We can't wait to come back again in the future.

Met with 8 friends to catch up ahead of Christmas. We went for the 3 course Christmas Menu and both the menu courses and service we all received were superb! Highly recommend the Crown. The new management are doing a marvellous job at rebuilding what had become a neglected business.

We had a wonderful evening at The Crown pub. The recently renovated pub is amazing and the food was delicious. We tried the fish cakes and lamb shoulder rissoles with celeriac for starters, both of which were excellent. The salads were huge, and we can't wait to go back for dessert. We were very impressed!

on 20th we went to a drink in the afternoon. the personal was nice, but a bit away from her feet, as she was on herself. we went after a few drinks and then decided to eat again in the evening for something. the food was ok. as for people who are about sticky tables and other things what they expect, it is a land pub with dogs and other characters. I wouldn't hesitate to go back there.

a real gem, we visited cookham on Sunday a little late, but they made time to feed us and the service was great. eating was delicious and competitive price. in the pub is bright and comfortable. I do not drink ale but my friends enjoyed the beer and as in on a diet it was great to find somewhere with slender tonic. right around the corner is a beautiful church and short trace to the river. our friends we visited from new york and the crown and cookham made their day, thank you.
