"We decided last minute to go here whilst working in the area. So glad we did! Nice feel inside, good vibe and music and friendly team. I had the lamb, goats cheese and bacon marmalade burger; definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had, perfectly cooked and great flavours! My colleague had the dirty burger and thoroughly enjoyed that to. Definitely recommend!"

"Had a lovely meal here a few months back, so decided to return, but unfortunately the visit was disappointing. We received a nice warm welcome. Had a seat in the bar, which I wouldn't choose, but it was ok. The staff are friendly, very young, but service was sooooo slow! We ordered our starter, which was only bread and olives and it took over half an hour to come. Our mains then arrived while the empty starter plates were still on the table. Had fish and chips fish was nice, but very greasy and chips were huge, tasteless and underdone. Dessert (when it finally came) was rhubarb crumble, which was ok, came with a lovely creme anglais. Won't be rushing to return unfortunately."

"we called to book a table I was polite and friendly to come by. I'm so glad we made it! we have taken my mother in the law for her birthday, it also happens the year jubilee of the dead of her man, so an important occation. when entering the building we were made to feel warm and we welcome ourselves decided in the traditional train car on the back of the building truley beautiful the decoration was well maintained and thought. we were served by a beautiful gentle man and in view of our menus I chose the steak, how mum my partner had the fish and chips everything I can say, it is sublime! beautifully cooked and the presentation was wonderful a piece of art a sensational eating, in which we could not fit the desert, but the choice was breathtaking! we will come back every year on this okcation and possibly a few cheeky times in between! I would highly recommend this place, the owners have it absolutely right my only bottom was I could not stay for another of there beautiful pints of zider! we look forward to the return and thank you for their friendly amazing service"

"Simply Top Notch! We recently stayed at this gorgeous cosy gem of a place with friends for a weekend and absolutely loved it! Adam and the team were super welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Food portions are very generous, delicious and nicely presented! Great Vegan drinks options too! Added bonus was the evening entertainment by a local musician and we ended up dancing and singing the night away to the loved classics! The next morning the team had also brought in a TV for us to enjoy watching the Women’s World Cup! Oh and the rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Great shower and super comfy bed! Finally, plenty of car parking spaces and our furry friends are also welcome. Look forward to visiting very soon."

"Feb. 2022. This now well established and popular venue, continues to produce provender of the highest quality. I have been attending the establishment for many years now and it remains one of my favourite restaurants. This night the lamb shank Agnello Brasato was a melt in the mouth shoulder of lamb on a generous bed of mash pototo, brocoli and heritage' carrots. The cheesecake Torta di Formagi came with a topping of tart blackberries, a good foil to the cheese. And of course, the Sanglovese Rubicone, to wash it all down with. Probably the most agreeable house red' in any Italian restaurant. December 21 The panic (of them leaving) is over, but the pandemic remains. The spaghetti bolognese, mixed up like it should be, is beyond reproach and the Fragola e Lampone dessert, comes out better with every presentation. GOOD NEWS BAD NEWS. Aug 2019 Having eaten here often and always finding both the service and the food up to expectation, both waifu and I agreed to visit this establishment for our (whatever-it-was) th anniversary. Booking in advance and mentioning the occasion, the staff had placed roses on our table and we were treated to a complimentary aperitif. The food (taken from the lunch menu) met expectations as did the house red, a modest but pleasing Sangiovese Rubicone 2018, which washed down the meal very well. The day was cold, but the sun shone through the windows, the staff were attentive and amiable and all made the lunch experience most agreeable. That's the GOOD news. The BAD news, is they are leaving. Avaricious land-lords demands have induced a going concern to take their business elsewhere. So, dear reader, if you wish to experience this excellent establishment or wish to do so again, get a wiggle on they will be gone beginning in July. Moving to Winford apparently but more of this later."
