Had a VERY good Sunday lunch here today. Quick, friendly service. Piping hot food. Lovely deserts too.

They accommodated our party of 12 on very short notice. The food was exceptional, as always, and the staff were helpful, cheerful, and friendly—nothing was too much trouble for them. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place!

I recently spent a night at the Old Down Inn, and I absolutely loved it! Max gave us a warm welcome, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a comfy bed. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed meeting the locals in the bar, who were all very friendly, as were our fellow travelers. We brought our dog along, and it was no issue at all. Max is a wonderful host with a great personality. I would definitely stay here again without any hesitation. The team managed to book us in for a late booking for 16 of us. We pre-ordered from a very lovely reasonably priced menu with plenty of choice for everyone. We couldn't have been welcomed any more than we were, food was incredible, every diners plate was empty, the whole tables food was all brought out together and absolutely beautiful. Every guest enjoyed their food (impressive for 16 people) not one complaint. The garden is also lovely which we sat out in for a hour with drinks after food. It's so nice to find a pub with such nice people, staff who enjoy their job and we were very well looked after. Thank you guys. Will be back very soon. PS Best fillet steak i have had for years!
