Fantastic lunch choice of seafood was great and it tasted superb. Staff were helpful and friendly would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Dropped by for lunch and took the last free table. The two course lunch menu was amazing value and quality. Will definitely return and it's heartening to find such a gem.

If we want good local fish we often head here . Regular dishes include fabulous traditional fish chips but we usually go for the fish of the day . Local , fresh and always delicious. Great service too

One of the best meals we’ve ever had. The presentation and taste of all courses was the highest quality. Friendly and efficient along with perfect scallops turbot. Have been here several times and always very good but this was fantastic. Thank you .

if after a great quality seafood and an increadalbe meerrvice are in a cozy and warm atmosphere, then the salty is the place to visit. eating is probably the best seafood they have and deffinatly the best in the opposite. the staff is always so helpful and will go beyond and beyond to make their visit unforgettable. I would be very happy to visit it if in the opposite.

We were looking for somewhere to eat lunch and were getting disheartened, however on glancing down a side street we found this wonderful restaurant. The food is amazing and incredibly good value, in fact I am not sure how they do it for the money. The fish was so fresh, no bones(which is really important to me) and above all tasty. The service was good. I cannot recommend more highly and will certainly revisit as soon as I can.

They say the best things come in small parcels and this is one of them! We couldn't eat inside because of the dog but the lady set the little table outside and it was quite sheltered from the cold wind. We had the lunch menu at £9.95 for two courses either a starter and main or main and pudding. The food was beautifully served and tasty and we washed it all down with a nice rose wine. Very friendly staff mother and son I think and they couldn't do enough for us even although we were outside.

We dropped in by chance for lunch yesterday and soon realised we were not in the usual run-of-the-mill seaside cafe. The starters were delicious, small but so well presented and so tasty that we wanted to linger over them. We had fish and chips for the main course and again everything was gorgeous. Light and crispy batter on very good fish, well flavoured chips, a wonderful pea and mint puree, and homemade tartare sauce. At 2 courses for £10 we thought this was extremely good value. We also shared a dessert which again was excellent. Highly recommended.

Dropped in for a second time for their Lunchtime offer of two courses for £10. First time I had the Smoked Haddock fishcakes, not the biggest but I saw them being prepared in the kitchen and they were good, followed by Moules Mariniere, again not the biggest but fresh Teign mussels served with some chunky bread. My wife had crab pate, plenty of crab followed by Cod, Chips, Pea puree, again no serving was big, but the cod was flaky fresh and the batter crunchy crisp.They were enough for our lunch. Bit envious of the chap on the next table who was disassembling a lovely big brown crab but that was on the main menu along with catch of the day which were fillets of Brill.
