"Kelvin and I booked a table for 2 on Friday 28th October, for a 5pm meal, here at the Flame Factory, in Appledore, and it was lovely, we both had a wonderful time, the food was wonderful, it was a lovely place, and it had a lovely atmosphere to. "A definite place to visit. We had the pup with us so could either sit in the bar area or outside which had nice seats under cover too so we opted to sit outside. The staff were super friendly and happy to fuss Pippin the puppy, much to her delight. The food came out in good time and was delicious, the sheer amount beat me but my fiance happily cleared up the my leftovers even after his huge mixed grill. I guess the only sticking point would be a lack of parking near the pub itself but we went early at the start of evening service so personally had no issues. A fantastic meal to end our holiday. Vegetarian options: Seemed to have a few veggie options on menu"

"Feel bad for taking stars off because the food was nice enough and the service friendly. But. We were the only 3 people in there on a Saturday night and it still took over 45 minutes to get 2 pizzas and a steak because they prioritised the delivery food so we waited for them to send food out whilst we were sat right there. Speaking of steak we ordered two but were told, politely, there was only one steak. On a Saturday night with NO other guests. Also the specials board consisted of two specials but one of those also not available so why not just take it off the board? On the plus side toilets were clean and wine was good."

"Amazing find! We were recommended this pub by our neighbour and what a recommendation...The staff were so accommodating, the food incredible, and the scenery was out of this world-I will miss the sunset view across the river so much until the next time we can visit. (I wouldn't normally write an essay but they deserve a proper acknowledgement)... We called in without booking a table on the first night of our 3 night stay in Devon, a young waitress greeted us and was able to juggle a table around to fit all of us (2 adults, 3 children and a big puppy) in for the evening. We enjoyed it so much we called ahead on the second evening to be told that they were fully booked. Devastated we started driving around trying to find anywhere that would be able to fit us in only to be called back a few minutes later by Lisa to be told that they remembered us and could put us on the same table whatever time we could get to them! Happy days! We then had another evening of superb food, lovely proper pub atmosphere, very attentive and personable waiting staff and spectacular scenery. We enjoyed it so much again that we booked for the next night there and then. We can't wait to come back to North Devon and know for sure we'll be eating at The Westleigh Inn."

"I love the hospitality and friendly atmosphere in the beaver. Unfortunately, I don't have the chance to enjoy it often enough. I love the appearance of the north devon jazz clubs and I am proud to have got here on Saturday night. such a large amount to entertain it was fun and I was even forced to dance among the manifestations between cuddly tracks. the beer is also the first class. a top pub worth a visit every year."
