Having stayed, eaten and drink here several times I have only had excellent experiences every time. A very friendly, helpful and welcoming team are always very accommodating. The rooms are above average for similar establishments in the area and very comfortable. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

Towards the end of the High St, this place has a lot of character. We didn’t stay here only had lunch, but the food was lovely. Service left a lot to be desired though. Staff were friendly but not great with the service at all. Food drinks: Meal was really lovely, although quite pricey. Service: 2 Location: 4

I made a reservation for dinner on a Friday night and it did not disappoint. The staff were outstanding, and the steaks were exceptional. It was a truly enjoyable evening. I can't praise the staff enough; if we ever find ourselves back in Marlborough, I would eagerly look forward to dining there again. Thank you! Service: 5 Location: 5

I remember staying here more than once when it was The Sun Inn. Happy memories. And I have been back since upgrade and name change. Dropped in today for a swift pint, out of the RAIN and only had time for a Starter. Delicious, tasty. Not cheap here anymore, but will save up and come back for a treat. Service is excellent. Went with a large group. The food was ok, and I had fish and chips. The batter was a bit thick and stodgy. For pudding, I chose Eton Mess, which consisted of a bit of meringue a few chopped up strawberries and a bit of cream, and at £8, I was expecting something a little more. Formerly called The Sun, this historic Elizabethan pub is believed to be the oldest in Marlborough. It managed to withstand a major fire that swept through the center of Marlborough in 1652. The pub features original paneling and beams, along with small plaques on the walls honoring beloved former regulars. There is a great selection of beers and delicious food available. The venue also boasts a quaint courtyard garden and several cozy rooms. The staff are friendly and engaging, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.

On our second night, we had dinner at the restaurant, and the food was fantastic. I had the crispy chili beef to start, and I can't recommend it enough! Later, my sister-in-law and I wanted to wrap up the evening with a cocktail. Luke, the bartender, recommended the espresso martini, and I must say, it was delicious! Luke was very friendly and made a real effort to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Many of the staff seemed to be long-time friends, which contributed to the warm, welcoming, and entertaining atmosphere. I stayed in the Library room, which was spacious and clean. Just a note—it's situated directly above the bar, so don’t expect complete silence! Personally, I enjoyed the lively sound...
