"This restaurant is fantastic. The owners are very welcoming and the breakfast is delicious. Many people have recommended their roast dinners, whether you dine in or get delivery. "Visited on a Tuesday evening. The food was beyond dry like it was left overs from the weekend.For starters we had burnt end. They were more like lumps of charcoal. I get there burnt end these were incinerated.For mains we had the brisket, again really really dry. It was a struggle to eat it. The chips were the only nice part.No one checked on us while eating. Then when paying the bill when asked how it was we say it was ok ish no follow up to this by staff member. Couldn't be bothered to argue as my partner and I were beyond disappointed. We just wanted to get home as we had travelled to visit on glowing reviews. Will not be revisiting any time in the future."

"This is a great pub just outside Mold. Top place to sit outside and enjoy a few drinks in the sun. Equally as good for a family gathering or food with friends. The food is pretty good. The smoked salmon tortellini was really fresh and light. The ham and cheese croquettes, a bit heavy on the ham and low on the cheese, were slightly large for a croquette but still tasted fine. The chicken, ham and leek pie was delicious. Served with a buttery mash, greens, a carrot and a nice white wine and tarragon sauce. The service was really helpful and friendly. Worth a visit!"

"Went for a drive Father's day and ended up having a meal here, we rang and luckily got a table for 7pm. On entry to the Celtic Arms it was a high walled gated area with absolutely beautiful gardens which went on for some considerable area, it is a golf club as well and a beautiful golf course with golf buggies opposite the restaurant. Opposite the golf buggies their is a play area that as I recall was fenced off but attached to the restaurant as its also a bar. On arrival to the resteraunt the manager was extremely warm and welcoming and escorted us to a table just outside of the restaurant. During the time we where in the Celtic Arms I observed the waitress in the restaurant constantly clean and spraying the tables which was absolutely so reassuring since the last covid people have relaxed a bit to much. A young lady who was equally as welcoming came and as us for our order, it was a set three course meal at £23.99 which we felt was really reasonable for such a lovely place. Halfway through our time in the Celtic Arms the young lady went home from her shift that had intially taken our order and I pressume we then passed to another waitress. I felt we where out of the eye of the bar but not in the restaurant so got a little forgotten about, although once we called a member of staff to remove our plates these where remove immediately. The starters where delicious with plenty of prawns on the prawn cocktail and the pate had an amazing homemade chutney. The mains where lamb and beef with the whole meal being cooked to perfection and hot with vegetables cooked just right. A lovely touch we felt was the lady out of the restaurant came and asked us if everything was to our liking and was there anything of the meal we would like a little extra off, I dare say you won't get a ton of potatoes or veg but the gesture was very touching and to be honest the meal size was ample. The desert white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake we shared and both agreed it was delicious, and we then shared a cheeseboard which I had got on the three course set menu. The delicious chutney again appeared with varies cheeses, crackers and grapes. Our compliments where left with the manager and the staff with our thanks for serving and delivering multiple resteraunts can not quite achieve. Well done Celtic arms for your polite, professional manner and serving a delicious good quality meal which was ample portioned, reasonably priced in an excellent environment. Would definitely recommend this place it's beautiful and wins hands down on the last 20 plus places we have been over the last few months. We will most definitely be going back again."

"Their buffet menu is perfect for large groups. The food is delicious and they provide generous portion sizes for the price. There is even an option to order more if there is still room. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they handled our rowdy group well. We had to wait a bit between courses, but we were all very happy with the food when it arrived."
