"Add this resto to your Avignon dinning list. Limited menu makes it easy to make selection—an assurance that the dishes served will consist of carefully selected ingredients, attention to details, and deliciously prepared. The ambiance is modernly calm with cream light colour palette. Two seating...areas: one inside the building, the other is in the back with an open courtyard—our preference. The staff were very courteous and friendly. Nice presentation and ample amount of food. Our squids were tender; perfectly-cooked white firm fish served with a variety of colourful veggies: potato, fresh fava, artichoke, carrots, etc; in-season asparagus. Desserts of a thing similar to key lime pie and a chocolate mille feuille were perfect to end the night. I can't remember the wine list but we simply ordered their local reds. We left with happiness, indeed. Make advance reservation if you come during the weekends."

Ordered the set menu lunch (entree, main, dessert and glass of wine for euro p.p). Excellent meal and service. Would recommend for a bit more of a up market lunch dinner. Did notice a lack of custom we walked passed it daily...during our day visit) which may be price sensitivity. A shame as it is a cut above the other eateries we tried.

The restaurant is located in the calm street rather far from the tourists flow that makes it comfortable when you want to have a lunch or dinner. Depending on weather you may choose an inside or outside/courtyard seating. The menu is short but tasty. We’ve...been there twice and got food grad, cod, chicken breast, veal and nougat glacé all of them were delicious.

An agreeable surprise in this central Avignon restaurant. A new chef with oodles of international experience and great regional cooking. The tenderest octopus preceded by foie gras with a perfect cider vinegar reduction. My companion in arms had a superb grenadin de veau! A perfect...Bandol rouge. And an attentive and knowledgable hostess. Home from home. One of my two favourite restaurants in Avignon.

Received rec from our driver guide. Local and knowledgeable. He was right on all day. Ok here’s my evaluation. Quiet place. Decor more modern-ish. Waitress super nice and helpful either in English or French. Had limited menu. prefixe’s with some choices within. Meals good+.......however my duck was undercooked by my standard and very tough. They were very willing to take it back to cook a bit more. Wine list great. Speisekarte ansehen

Tucked away in Rue Petite Fusterie is L’Essential. Found it last Saturday and so glad. Lovely restaurant with an open courtyard at the rear. Very attentive staff with a brilliant young chef. Great food, great wine and a delightful atmosphere. Rarely return twice but did...tonight and not disappointed. Have eaten our way around Avignon for the last week and L’Essential is equal to, if not better than many of the superb places we have had the the pleasure to visit. Go and enjoy!

The waiters were charming and the food was creative and delicious. The gravelax salmon was served in the form of roses and served with fennel and apple, whipped cream and roe. The organic egg in carrot cream was creamy and astringent at the same time....The risotto was cooked to perfection, the gambas were fresh and tangy. The inner courtyard is delightful. It was the perfect birthday dinner. The waiters knew we had a play to go to at the Palais des Papes and timed things perfectly.

Hi, I visited this place years ago with colleagues and visited again recently with my partner, both times for dinner, and both times it did not disappoint. The chef and his team prepare a sophisticated and yet authentic french cuisine with local and seasonnal...products. The service was discreet but attentive. There is a superb cave with a good selection of french wines, some a bit on the expensive side, but the butler is knowledgeable and clearly happy to recommend some good pairing choices. I would recommend this place for small groups or couples. I did not try their lunch but it seemed they have some good value lunch menus on offer. Speisekarte ansehen

I read great things about this restaurant but boy did it disappoint. First off, the service was SO BAD because the restaurant was horribly understaffed in both the kitchen and dining room. There were waiters with a party of people along with tables of small parties people. All of the attention was given to the large party and everyone else in the restaurant was clearly annoyed by the lack of service. Our reservation was at and our first course was brought out at The bread was given along with the appetizer... The food was decent (not what I expected) but the biggest disappointment was lack of creativity. My husband and I got the meal and the same yellow sauce was used in appetizers and one e...

This place is very close to Place De L’Horloge where we were staying. In fact it was almost the closest good restaurant to our hotel. It was so good, we visited twice. Once we dined in the courtyard outside; and once we dined inside in...aircon. Both were very good, and were different. Inside was sophisticated, quiet and very tasteful. Outside was more relaxed, and more informal. Both visits we had the Menu du Jour. The first time was the cheaper menu, around EUR for starter and main course. On the second visit, we went upscale at EUR for plates! Both were very good. Their wines are excellent, with a good choice of varietals and prices. We had the Cotes du Rhône the first night and the Croze...
