"The Blue Teapot is a quaint little café with a delightful menu. The specials change frequently and they are more than happy to accommodate vegan restrictions (there’s always a selection of vegan meals on the menu too I ordered the from the specials menu the vegan samosa. I was absolutely delighted when it arrived to see that they were actually baked; sure that’s not authentic, but absolutely perfect for me as I’m not a fan of fried foods where I can help it. The flavours were spot on, and the dish was a pleasure both taste and visual wise, but also perfect portions for lunch! The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing, we felt right at home. I’ll definitely go out of my way to visit again when I’m in the area, it was just a really lovely experience. "We had an absolutely amazing meal at Marco's! Omg, I will be DREAMING about the aubergine parmigiana forever! I'm honestly gutted we live 2.5 hrs away because this was the best meal I've ever eaten. We came for dinner (2 adults and a child and ordered the veggie calzone, parmigiana and a salad all to share. The portions are HUGE! We left stuffed and so happy as the food was just gorgeous. We sat outside out the back and had the lovely waterfall as our soundtrack. The staff were really friendly, attentive and moved tables about to accommodate us (and to fit the massive plates on! . The food came out quickly and was so hot and fresh. Everything was just divine I honestly can't express how delicious it all was. I am NOT a salad person and I loved the salad as the dressing was so tasty. The calzone was crunchy, cheesy, buttery and garlicky. But the star of the show was the aubergine parm. It came with this deliciously crunchy foccacia bread. The top was cheesy and crispy, the sauce was the absolute best tomato sauce I've ever had and the aubergine and veg inside was the perfect filling. You will not regret visiting!! Vegetarian options: Amazing veggie options!"

"this place surpassed my expectations. first, it is a beautiful room. dog-friendly also. we ate from the a la carte menu (picture.) I had to start the soft bowl collar and the oktopus as main. I have rarely seen softly peeled crab on a menu in Britain, when I have seen it has been bad, so I have ordered more in the hope than expected. it was great. crispy, sweet and juicy. the accompanying green salad was a great guide. the main octopus court was incredibly tender, according to my opinion, they should not interfere with the king Prawn-Squid, as it distracts from the sheer quality of the cooking taste of the oktopus. we shared a dessert of almond-Marmalade cake with mandelbiscuits eis. I'm not a big dessert fan as I don't have a sweet tooth, but that was good. I would have chosen a cheeseboard of local yorkshire lancashire cheese if that had been an option. I just moved into this one, I'm gonna eat again."

"Really unfortunate our last experience was so poor compared to when we visited in the summer. Visited as a family on a Sunday and was surprised there was seating for us, we were grateful. Lovely atmosphere and nicely decorated. No staff members to be found but sign said to help ourselves to a table. Don’t like the ordering at the bar thing but that’s personal preference; however makes it feel very much like a Wetherspoons. After ordering, we asked where our food was as we were waiting more than 40 minutes. It came a few minutes later. Kids chicken and chips, absolutely fine. My partner’s steak was beautifully cooked to his preference and seasoned well. I ordered a burger which stayed it was “smothered in melted cheese”. Two slices of cold cheese on top, with a burnt to a crisp burger bun underneath. How they thought it was okay to serve this is beyond me. I took it to the bar, got an apology muttered at me. Two minutes later it came back with a fresh bun, but everything else plonked on top, clearly microwaved as was overly hot and the cheese shrivelled up and dry. Undercooked soggy bacon on top, way too salty. One of the worst burgers I’ve ever had (which after having a quick scan through the reviews, I’m not the only one). Ordered desserts, which were very good. Christmas pudding stayed it came with a brandy sauce, my partner asked if it was a creamy sauce. The woman behind the counter had no idea at all. What turned up was custard? Which was unusual. But the actual Christmas pudding was lovely. Think we will try again but hope the mounting negative reviews are listened to. It’s such a good spot, especially in summer so would be a waste if the quality didn’t match."

"WHY do Mooch think it's in any way acceptable to charge £15 for a 1cm thick slice of goats cheese with a bit of salad. This time they didn't even put the caramelised onions on so I had to ask for them. They also threw a load of rocket on top of the cheese, probably hoping that I wouldn't see how tiny the cheese was. We have complained about this multiple times but yet still tiny portions for us and huge profits for Mooch. Staff turnover is massive too. Please be a bit more generous. I had to have snacks on the way home."
